This Privacy Policy explains how Tatarka Studios LTD (“Tatarka Studios”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles personal information when you visit our website or use our games and apps (together, our “Services”). We are based in the United Kingdom and act as the data controller for the personal information described below.
In short. Our games are built to be played without an account, and we collect as little personal information as we can. We do not sell personal information, we do not use tracking cookies, and our games do not display advertising. Some features, such as leaderboards, are optional and are described below.
Information we collect
What applies to you depends on which of our Services you use.
- Information you give us — if you email us for support or any other reason, we receive your email address, your message, and anything else you choose to include.
- Website information — our website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. We do not use analytics cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
- Information from the App Store — Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymous reports about downloads, and anonymous crash and performance diagnostics for our apps. We cannot identify individual people from these reports, and we only receive them if you have chosen to share analytics with developers in your device settings.
- Optional in-game features — some features, such as Game Center leaderboards, involve sending limited information to Apple. These are always optional and are described in the sections below.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information, and we do not sell personal information.
Our games
This section sets out what each of our games does. If a game is not listed here, it does not collect personal information.
Stellar Drop — Stellar Drop is a single-player puzzle game. It does not require an account or a login. Your progress, settings, and high scores are saved only on your device, and are deleted if you delete the app. Stellar Drop contains no analytics software, no advertising software, and no third-party tracking code, and it does not transmit any information to us.
Game Center
Some of our games may offer optional leaderboards and achievements through Apple’s Game Center. The section above tells you which of our games currently use it.
Where a game does offer Game Center features:
- Taking part is optional. We will ask before your score is submitted for the first time, and the game remains fully playable if you decline.
- If you take part, your Game Center player ID, your scores, and your achievement progress are sent to Apple and stored on Apple’s servers. Your Game Center nickname and profile picture may be visible to other players on the leaderboards for that game.
- Game Center is operated by Apple, and Apple handles this information under its own privacy policy. We can see the nicknames and scores that appear on our games’ leaderboards. We do not receive your Apple Account details, your email address, or your real name.
- You can sign out of Game Center at any time in your device’s Settings. You will no longer appear on leaderboards, and you can continue playing offline.
- If you would like a score removed from one of our leaderboards, email us using the details below and we will remove it.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve our Services.
- To operate optional features you have chosen to use, such as leaderboards.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To diagnose technical issues and prevent abuse or fraud.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
Legal bases for processing
Under UK data protection law, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — where you choose to use an optional feature such as Game Center, or where the law otherwise requires consent.
- Legitimate interests — to operate and improve the Services, respond to support requests, and keep the Services secure.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to process information.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, and doing so does not affect processing carried out beforehand.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers who help us run the Services — for example, app distribution and hosting providers, and Apple in respect of Game Center — and only as needed for them to perform those services. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Analytics and advertising
We do not currently use analytics software in our games, and our games do not display third-party advertising. If either of these changes, we will update this policy, revise the “Last updated” date above, and — where the law requires it — ask for your consent first.
Children’s privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your request and our records. Information held in Game Center is retained by Apple under Apple’s own retention practices; you can remove yourself from leaderboards at any time by signing out of Game Center.
International transfers
Some of our service providers, including Apple, may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your information is protected by appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EEA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it, including asking us to remove a leaderboard entry.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it.
- Request a copy of your information in a portable format.

Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites. Our games do not use cookies.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be made clear within the Services where appropriate.
